Goal
The goal of this was to design a microwave with a rugged and tough shell designed for use in a construction environment. The design needed to be easy to carry and feel in place on a worksite environment.
Solution
The two designs I created were designed with large protective plastic guards and handles to protect the unit from drops and make it easier to pick up and transport. The form language attempts to match the look and feel of power tools and other appliances found on worksites to help visually sell its purpose.
